Michèle Charette Michèle has been working in procurement and contracting within the Federal Government since 1987, primarily at Public Works and Government Services Canada (formerly Department of Supply and Services). She gained extensive experience while working in the Acquisitions Branch, where she started her career as a purchasing assistant. Over the years, Michèle worked in several different commodity areas and received extensive procurement and contracting training both on and off the job. During her career Michèle was the contracting authority for a range of goods and services, from acquiring military repair and overhaul services and equipment, to managing complex IT requirements, to conducting procurement practice reviews at the Office of the Procurement Ombudsman, to managing the development of contracts for the Joint Support Ships as part of the Canada's National Shipbuilding Procurement Strategy. She is currently the manager of the Informatics Methods of Supply Division within PWGSC. Her team is responsible for ensuring continued and easy access to the Supply Arrangements and Standing Offers for IT Professional Services for use by all departments and agencies in the federal government.
