What Does the Transition from MERX to Buy and Sell Mean for You?

The Government Electronic Tendering Service (GETS) is hosted on Buyandsell.gc.ca — the authoritative source on Government of Canada procurement information.

Buyandsell.gc.ca/tenders allows businesses and the general public to easily search federal government tender opportunities, standing offers, supply arrangements and contract history at no charge and without registering. Suppliers can also receive feeds for amendments to bid solicitations. The new service allows users to customize their access, including subscribing to automatic notifications for amendments to tenders, all free of charge.

Benefits for government buyers…

  • Ease of publishing – buyers outside of Acquisitions will create notices and publish tender documents using a new and friendly Tender Management Application (TMA) available on Buyandsell.gc.ca/tenders.
  • Control over publishing – buyers can publish tender documents instantly or at a preferred future date and time.
  • Enhanced quality assurance – procurement organizations will review and publish tenders directly, ensuring the quality and accuracy of their solicitation documents.

Speaker:

Caroline Landry, Regional Director,
