| Letter of invitation: This letter from the Workshop Chair Melody Jeaurond invites you to attend and explains why you should be there. |
| Speakers’ list: Show your supervisor the list of keynote and session speakers to demonstrate the breadth and diversity of the program. |
| More ideas: Offer to take notes to share learning with colleagues; commit to a “Speed Mentoring Session” with a CIPMM Mentor (current or recently retired senior managers). |
| Project help: Emphasize how you can learn from peers who have overcome the same project challenges you’re facing. The networking break/lunch/reception conversations and session discussions are great for project networking that will save time and money. |
| Trade Show: Use the CIPMM National Workshop exhibitor list to show your boss a great opportunity to network with valuable contacts and to create new relationships in the Exhibit Hall. |
| Certification: Missing any courses towards your certification? CIPMM has partnered with the Canada School of Public Service to provide a private course offering to attendees of the CIPMM National Workshop. The training is available only to 2018 National Workshop delegates. Also, as a holder of a professional designation, either internal or external to the federal government, professional development or maintenance credits may be earned during this Workshop by confirmation of the Workshop registration to the certification body. Confirmation with the certification body will be required to determine the types of credits to be applied for as part of your participation. |
