Breakfast Sessions
TERMS OF REFERENCE
CANADIAN INSTITUTE FOR PROCUREMENT AND MATERIEL MANAGEMENT (CIPMM)
BREAKFAST SESSIONS
The Breakfast Session Committee will organize up to 4 sessions each year of presentations, panels, armchair discussions and videoconferences on topics of interest to the material management, fleet management and procurement communities in the National Capital Region.
The objective of the Sessions is to provide a forum for the exchange of information and hands on practical solutions to problems currently facing the materiel management, fleet management and procurement communities. The Sessions would serve to strengthen the networking opportunities for the members and reinforce the role CIPMM plays with the materiel management, fleet management and procurement communities. The Sessions may also provide another opportunity to market other CIPMM undertakings.
A minimum of one of the 4 Sessions would focus each on materiel management topics; fleet management; and procurement with the fourth session generally designed to cover more than one of the communities. The topics will be more operational in nature and will provide an occasion to showcase innovative practices developed in the different departments and agencies. Videotaping of the conferences could be tried to provide an opportunity to share the content with the regional material management, fleet management and procurement communities. The sessions would be free but would require pre-registration. They would occur approximately once every 3 months on a single morning beginning at 8:00 am with registration and continental breakfast; introductions at 8:20 am; Presentation(s) from 8:20 to 9:20; and Questions and Answers from 9:20 to 9:40.
